Experience/Expertise:

The National Institute of Technical and Vocational Education in Prague is a special-purpose departmental organisation run directly by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic. The Institute is a professional, research, educational consultancy and co-ordination institute for solving issues related to vocational education and practical training in the context of education for life. The Institute contributes to solving programmes and projects within the framework of bilateral and multilateral international co-operation. It is involved among others in the production of: Secondary school database, Teaching document database, Textbook offer information system, Document database of our and foreign periodicals from the sphere of technical and vocational education.

Publications:

Technical News and Methodical Outlook - periodical for secondary technical schools Vocational Education information bulletin - drawing attention to recent knowledge and solution of current problems in technical and vocational education, information about the activities of the Research Institute of Technical and Vocational Education.

Role:

The activities of the Institute are invaluable namely for the initial needs analysis phase, internal assessment and dissemination phase of the proposed project ELCIT. The Institute will provide access to further schools for the testing of the finished modules of the programme. Its expertise will significantly enhance the benefit of the programme ELCIT for the target group.
