[ SUMMARY ] [ TARGET GROUP ] [ NEEDS ] [ AIMS ] [ INNOVATION PROPOSED ] [ EXPECTED RESULTS ] |
The proposed Interactive ICT-based Programme To Train and Learn English Language Competences for Instructors of Technical Subjects at Vocational Training Schools aims at developing the quality of professional language competences of vocational training schools instructors of technical subjects (locksmiths, bricklayers, hairdressers, and seamstresses). Therefore the vocational training instructors of technical subjects are the primary target group, i.e. the audience of secondary education teaching professionals (ISCO 88 232).
However the young people in initial vocational training schools will be the major benefactor of the proposed Programme with their instructors enhancing their skills in technical subjects by core knowledge of specific work-related English.
The Programme will be made available to the instructors of technical subjects working in the organisations of vocational training schools, offering both initial training and training with comprehensive final exams.
The Programme will focus on two major sectors of locksmiths and bricklayers training with a large number of apprentices within the partnership, and it also tests its specific approach on two relatively "smaller" sectors, namely the hairdressers and seamstresses training, which would be relevant both for territories with specific labour market characteristics and for disadvantaged social groups in need of improving their labour market competitive skills.
